In a nation divided, where passions run high, whether misguided and reckless or well intended, it is easy to fall into the devil’s trap and turn on each other. I am reminded today that regardless who is running the country that my hope is not in them, because we all fall short, but in the Creator, my Lord and Savior. He can transform and soften even the hardest of hearts if we let Him.
To be transformed is to “make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.” God wants us not only to believe but to be changed and made new! He knows that without him we are lost and slaves to our sinful nature. Seek God’s best for your life. (credit to my buddy Albert for sending this today)
I pray for our leaders to make the right decisions. I pray for our country to heal and come together. I pray for decency, compassion, patience and understanding in Washington D.C. and throughout our country. I pray for us not to look at each other as enemies and vilify our differences, but instead may we embrace and celebrate them. “Love thy neighbor!”
Verse for the day
(NLT)Romans 12:2 – Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
With a humbled heart wanted to say I Love You and God Bless You.
